‘Crisps’ is the title track from Bristol-Manchester duo Getdown Services’ debut album. In their usual lighthearted fashion, the pair have crafted a beat that blends influence from disco, electro-dance, proto-punk, new wake and kratrock, with funky rhythms, tight drums and a prominent bass line; underpinning a gradually developing, casual vocal delivery laced with humorous lyrics and biting social commentary. Crisps, the album is out now and it's a 12-song set packed with subtly fantastic compositions and perfectly delivered, well-thought-out lyrics.
